By cab down NH48
NH48, the Delhi to Jaipur highway, runs from the airport’s Mahipalpur junction straight into Gurugram past Ambience Mall and the Cyber City office towers, with the Sikanderpur and MG Road exits beyond. Prepaid taxi counters in every arrivals hall and the Uber and Ola pickup points, at Level 0 of the Terminal 3 Multi-Level Car Park and outside arrivals at Terminals 1 and 2, quote about ₹400 to ₹700 to Cyber City and ₹600 to ₹900 to Golf Course Road and the sectors beyond, with surge pricing on the apps at peak hours. The journey takes 20 minutes late at night and 45 minutes or more between 8:00 am and 11:00 am and 5:00 pm and 9:00 pm, when the NH48 toll plaza queues and the Cyber City exits back up; the Dwarka Expressway, opened in 2024, is the alternative route to the newer sectors in the west of Gurugram. From Terminal 1, on the south side of the runways, the trip is a few minutes shorter.
Why not the metro
The Airport Express Line runs north-east into Delhi and does not serve Gurugram. The rail route is the Airport Express Line to New Delhi station, the Yellow Line south to Sikanderpur, about 45 minutes, and the Rapid Metro loop to Cyber City, which adds up to well over an hour with two changes and is only worth considering in the worst traffic. Gurugram’s own metro extensions were under construction in 2026 and do not reach the airport.
Aerocity as the base
Aerocity, the hotel district one metro stop from Terminal 3, is where most Gurugram business travellers stay: it is 5 to 10 minutes from the terminal, the Worldmark office towers and their restaurants are inside the district, and a cab to Cyber City takes 20 to 30 minutes on the reverse-flow side of the morning rush. Gurugram hotels
Gurugram has its own five-star and business hotels around Cyber City, MG Road and Golf Course Road, closer to the offices but 30 to 60 minutes from the airport in the rush hours; they suit a stay of several days with no early flight.
